Our Framework
The Flourishing Conditions Helix
After years of research and practice inside schools, we identified four conditions that consistently shape whether adults can do their best work and whether they stay.
Trust: Do people feel safe to be honest, take risks, and rely on one another?
Clarity: Do adults understand what is expected of them, how decisions get made, and where they stand?
Purpose: Do they feel connected to something that matters beyond the daily demands?
Growth: Are they given real opportunities to develop, contribute, and be recognized for it?
These conditions operate at two levels simultaneously — in each person’s individual experience, and in the school’s systems and structures. When both are strong, the adult community becomes a genuine asset. When either is struggling, the effects ripple through everything, including the students.
These conditions are not abstract. They show up in how a school makes decisions, communicates expectations, and supports its people every day.

The Adult Flourishing Profile™
The Adult Flourishing Profile™ (AFP) is the instrument at the center of every FFP partnership. Developed over years of research in human flourishing, character, and organizational life, it produces a rich, multidimensional picture of the conditions for flourishing among all adults in your community. Not just teachers. Everyone.
The AFP is organized around the Flourishing Conditions Helix, examining Trust, Clarity, Purpose, and Growth at both the individual and systems level. Together, they surface what is quietly shaping your community and where leadership can act with confidence.
